Yup, they did it to Halloween, Friday the 13th, Psycho, The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, hell the list could go on for pages.  Anyway, yup, they're doing it to A Nightmare On Elm Street.  Doesn't look too bad, but no one can play Freddy Kruger except Robert England, sorry but without him it's not Freddy.

Check out the trailer:  http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xanehm_a-nightmare-on-elm-street-remake-tr_shortfilms?from=feedblitz_523284_2608978

I saw Robert in an interview & he said he was okay with someone else taking over the role.  Maybe he's tired of wearing the makeup after all these years.

What's up with all the remakes lately? Is it the "cool" thing to do in Hollywood these days?Huh Not too sure about this one as I need to see more straight on pics of Freddy. There was one shot in the trailer where it just didn't look right.

Yeah, you could see his chin in one part, just didn't look like Freddy's skin.

I've seen straight on photo's of the new freddy and it don't look right . I'll still go see this one to judge for myself though . Did anybody go see the Friday the 13th remake ? It wasn't all that bad . Yeah man the new freddy f/x make-up just looks like layer upon layer of scar tissue instead the freshly cooked look of the original .

I was pretty happy with the Friday the 13th remake (although I still don't see any need to remake any of these), the first Halloween remake was pretty good, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre one kinda sucked, I could go on and on with the multitude of awful horror movie remakes, so I don't hold very high hopes for Freddy.  Too bad too because besides Jason he was my favorite.
